She is known as the neighborhood recycling queen, putting out one trash can every other week for a family of four. She pulled up the front lawn and planted a beautiful veggie garden out front which she feeds with the wonderful compost made from the kitchen waste. Stephanie B.
Acton, MA

Stephanie set out to lower our family’s energy bills, we were paying so much in electricity monthly ($424 last summer). She replaced all the light bulbs with ENERGY STAR CFLs, upped the thermostats in the summer and when our water heater had issues, she decided to replace it with a gas powered tankless system. The results are staggering. Our electricity bills are 1/2 the cost, we’ve lowered our usage by about 200 kwh per month and our gas bills have not significantly increased! She’s teaching our children to conserve energy. I’m very proud of all the work she has accomplished! Read More...!

Along with the wedding expenses we both have enormous student loans to pay back. At a time when Caitlyn could have just sat and dulled, she took action. I have followed Caitlyn’s lead in making our home as energy-efficient as possible. All of our lights have been changed to ENERGY STAR, our refrigerator temp adjusted, heat/AC minimized, clothes washing optimized, and appliances unplugged when not in use. Read More...!
